We've been creating

beautiful memories for beautiful souls.

Since 2018.

Hello, we are Mike & Emma.

The husband and wife duo behind MAC Videography.

When we married in 2016, we skimped on a videographer—a regret that sparked an idea. In 2018, with a maxed-out credit card and a big dream, MAC Videography was born. Since then, we’ve filmed over 200 weddings, travelled the world, won awards, and had our work featured in Tatler and Vogue—all while capturing love stories in a way that’s real, personal, and beautifully cinematic.

Based in Kent and London, we film across the UK and beyond for couples who want more than just a wedding video—they want a film that feels like them. Known for our creative storytelling, we capture personalities as much as moments, crafting films that are both stunning and deeply personal.

UK Videographer of the Year.

The husband and wife duo behind MAC Videography.

Winning the wedding industry’s highest accolade winning UK Videographer of the Year at the Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA).

We are also proud to have won and been nominated for awards domestically and globally.

The

Experience.

Only good vibes and great energy. We are blenders, not spies.

Having a videographer is quite possibly one of the most important suppliers you will invest in. It’s also a very personal thing. It’s not only the work we create, but it’s the experience we create alongside it that counts just as much. So it’s important that you feel right at home with us. From our first contact we get to know you, you get to know us. We get to understand you as a couple, your vision, and the things that are most important to you. The journey starts here.

"On the day of our wedding he could not have made us feel more comfortable or at ease. He is friendly, fun and knows his art inside out, taking every opportunity to get the best footage for us. We were incredibly impressed with his work ethic and how well he worked with our photographer and everyone at the wedding too."

This bit’s easy… my wonderful wife Emma! Naturally, she is also my first choice assistant videographer if the need arises, but she also runs her own wedding photography business too, and when we are together, we are the ultimate husband and wife dream team!

She can be found at https://www.emmacollyer.com or visit her Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/emmacollyerphotography. I am biased, but her work is amazing, and like me, she pours her heart and soul into creating magic.

If Emma’s not available or it’s not the style you are looking for, then I can most certainly help with recommendations of photographers whom I know are aligned with your vision and style.

Being filmed and papped all day is certainly not the everyday for most couples. But we get it! It can seem a daunting prospect when you think about it but there is really nothing to worry about. Our job is to document the day, and not turn it into a Hollywood film set. But, every couple is different in personality as well as their vision of how they would love their films to turn out. And we cater for it all. It’s what makes us so unique as wedding filmmakers. We are creatives that have no bounds but subconsciously know the boundaries of where we take things creatively. The ethos always remain same: capture your personalities, capture the spirit of the day.

We often get told by past couples how relaxed and fun we were – and how they barely noticed us filming.

Cinematic, understated, captivating, story-driven, natural, uniquely undefined.

That probably sums us up the best. But, generally speaking we are always for our couples.  Our wedding films are totally inspired by you and the essence of your special day. On the day itself we are discreet where we need to be, yet approachable and down to earth. You will see us mingling with your guests, so we aren’t strangers.

It’s a great question! The good news is that we have built up strong network of trusted people over the years that can cover for us at a moment’s notice should the unforeseen ever happen.

We do, yes! We are fully qualified drone pilots, and the drone is part of our wedding day kit as standard. We always use the drone where appropriate. However, there may be instances where flying a drone isn’t possible due to (but not limited to) location and weather conditions.

Getting married in a church is always very special. It’s worth noting that as a videographer, travelling between multiple locations on a wedding day, things may get missed and may even be logistically challenging. I will always highly recommend that an assistant videographer join me for at least half a day to cover the ceremony to the wedding breakfast entrance. This means my assistant can capture guest arrival and have everything set up for the ceremony before you arrive.

Whilst it is rare, it has been known for videographers and photographers not to be allowed in the church during the ceremony. We would highly recommend you speak with your priest beforehand so that there are no misunderstandings on the day.

Lastly, some churches may push to pay a fee to allow audio/visual recordings of the service. Something to bear in mind.

We will go wherever our couples like to take us! To date, we have shot in Dubai and Italy, namely Tuscany, Lake Como, and Puglia. France and Ibiza aswell, just to name a few – and there are a few on the bucket list too!

If you are considering a destination wedding, please visit our destination wedding pages for more information.

The cameras that we use on the day all have dual memory card recording. After every wedding, the footage is then backed up on to a scratch disk (an SSD that we edit off from), as well as local harddrives, the network storage in our office and then finally up to the cloud for extra security.

You can be assured your footage will be safe.

Music plays a crucial role in bringing your wedding film to life. I dedicate a lot of time to selecting the perfect soundtrack that reflects the emotions and atmosphere of your day. While I have a keen ear for choosing music that fits seamlessly, I always welcome suggestions! If you have a particular style in mind, I encourage you to explore MusicBed—the licensing platform I use for all my wedding films.

Although MusicBed doesn’t feature songs from famous artists, it offers an extensive library of high-quality music, including AI tools that can find tracks similar to the songs you chose for your first dance or walk down the aisle. The music played on your wedding day often serves as my inspiration when selecting songs for your film.

Can We Use a Popular Song in Our Wedding Film?

This is a common question, especially when couples want to include their first dance song or the track they walked down the aisle to. Unfortunately, using copyrighted music from popular artists (such as Ed Sheeran) in your wedding film without proper licensing is generally not allowed.

Even though wedding videos feel personal, once they are shared online or used commercially, they are considered public works. Because of this, platforms like YouTube and social media may flag or mute videos containing copyrighted music. While it is possible to license well-known songs, the costs can be very high and come with strict limitations.

To ensure your film is both legally compliant and creatively stunning, I use licensed music that complements the tone of your wedding while avoiding any copyright issues.

We are indeed. Our public liability is up to £10m. Proof of insurance and downloadable certificates for your wedding planner/wedding venue can be found on the booking portal once you have booked with us.

Of course! Booked couples are invited to a pre-wedding meeting typically 6 weeks before the big day to discuss every detail. Most couples trust the process and want fly on the wall whereas some couples perhaps want to have some of the editorial vibe. We are there to bring your vision to life.
